Busing applications now open. Apply before July 13, 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year and be entered to win an Apple iPad.

Bus passes will be mailed out to households with students in Grades K-3 in August. Bus passes for students in Grades 4-12 can be picked up from the school during the first week of classes.
Please note: Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 is implementing new transportation fees for the 2018-2019 school year, subject to ministerial approval.
Effective June 1, 2018, annual transportation fees are as follows:
- $300 per Ineligible* or School of Choice student**
- $750 family rate
*Ineligible student – a student who resides less than 2.4 km from their designated school
**School of Choice student – a student who attends a school other than their designated school
Eligible students (residing greater than 2.4 km from their designated school) remain exempt from transportation fees.
These fees will allow Black Gold Regional Schools to maintain the level of service parents/guardians have come to expect in our transportation services.
More information on transportation services can be found here.
Our Safely On Board program has a First Ride program for Kindergarten students who have not been on a bus before and are registered to a Black Gold School this fall. Please click here for the registration form. Forms are to be submitted to the school who will then forward them to the Black Gold Schools Transportation Department.

The department of Education with the Alberta government would like to get Alberta families views on student transportation and the student transportation eligibility criteria. To do so, they are conducting an online survey that will close on June 15, 2018.
These responses will help the government determine if changes are needed to the student transportation system, and if so, what changes to make.
To share your thoughts and priorities on the student transportation criteria, please fill out the online survey.
Thank you for your continued support of all Alberta students.
